Product Description

The 5-HT2C receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that, upon binding to its ligand serotonin (5-HT), mediates various physiological processes in both the brain and peripheral tissues. It represents an important therapeutic target for treating obesity and other central nervous system disorders such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and drug abuse.

Screeningbio’s HEK293/Human 5-HT2C cell line overexpress HTR2C receptor and is designed to detect increases in intracellular IP-1 levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF IP-1 kit can be used to detect the signal.

Data

HEK293/Human 5-HT2C Agonist Assay. HEK293/Human 5-HT2C cells were treated with the reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity IP-one HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 /IC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.
