Product Description


The 5-HT1E receptor belongs to the 5-HT subtype of the G protein-coupled receptor family and is involved in various intracellular signal transduction processes. However, compared to other serotonin receptors, its specific functions and interaction mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. This receptor is highly expressed in the frontal cortex and hippocampus of the human brain, and its function may be related to learning and memory.

 

Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Human 5-HT1E cell line overexpress HTR1E and is designed to detect inhibition in intracellular cAMP levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF cAMP kit can be used to detect the signal.

CHO-K1/Human 5-HT1E Agonist Assay. CHO-K1/Human 5-HT1E cells were stimulated with 2.5 μM Forskolin and treated with reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity cAMP HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.
