Product Description
The 5-HT2C receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that, upon binding to its ligand serotonin (5-HT), mediates various physiological processes in both the brain and peripheral tissues. It represents an important therapeutic target for treating obesity and other central nervous system disorders such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and drug abuse.
Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Mouse 5HT2C cell line overexpress HTR2C receptor and is designed to detect increases in intracellular Calcium flux signal in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Molecular Devices Calcium 6 kit can be used to detect the signal.
