Product Description

5-HT1A is a G protein-coupled receptor widely distributed in tissues such as the brain, spinal cord, and gastrointestinal tract. This receptor plays important roles in various physiological processes, including emotional regulation, sleep maintenance, pain perception, and cognitive function, making it a key target in the development of antidepressant and anxiolytic drugs. Abnormal functioning of the 5-HT1A receptor is closely associated with psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, and schizophrenia. Accordingly, its agonists and antagonists are used clinically in the treatment of these conditions.

Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Mouse 5-HT1A cell line overexpress HTR1A and is designed to detect inhibition in intracellular cAMP levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF cAMP kit can be used to detect the signal.

Data

CHO-K1/Mouse 5-HT1A Agonist Assay. CHO-K1/Mouse 5-HT1A cells were stimulated with 2.5 μM Forskolin and treated with reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity cAMP HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.
