Product Description
5-HT1B receptor (HTR1B) are expressed throughout the mammalian central nervous system. These receptors are located in the axon terminals of both serotonergic and nonserotonergic neurons, where they act as inhibitory autoreceptors or heteroreceptors, respectively. 5-HT1B receptors inhibit the release of a range of neurotransmitters, including serotonin, GABA, acetylcholine, and glutamate.
Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Rat 5-HT1B cell line overexpress HTR1B and is designed to detect inhibition in intracellular cAMP levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF cAMP kit can be used to detect the signal.
