Product Description

The Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide Receptor (GIPR) is a class B G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that mediates the physiological actions of the incretin hormone GIP, primarily involved in glucose homeostasis and lipid metabolism. GIPR is predominantly expressed in pancreatic β-cells, adipose tissue, and the central nervous system, where it plays a key role in enhancing insulin secretion in response to nutrient intake.

Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Cyno GIPR cell line overexpress GIPR and is designed to detect increases in intracellular cAMP levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF cAMP kit xcan be used to detect the signal.

Data

CHO-K1/Cyno GIPR Agonist Assay. CHO-K1/Cyno GIPR cells were treated with the reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity cAMP HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.
