Product Description

Chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1), also known as Chemerin receptor 1, is a G protein-coupled receptor. It is primarily distributed on immune cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and natural killer cells, and is also significantly expressed in adipose tissue. Functioning as a "metabolic and inflammatory sensor," this receptor plays a central role in regulating innate immune responses, adipocyte differentiation, glucose homeostasis, and inflammatory processes by binding to its endogenous ligands (e.g., Resolvin E1 and Chemerin). Consequently, CMKLR1 is considered a promising therapeutic target for metabolic diseases (like obesity and diabetes), autoimmune disorders, and cancer.

ScreeningBio’s HEK293T/Mouse Chemerin 1 β-arrestin cell line is an ideal tool for studying GPCR/β-arrestin interactions. In this system, the GPCR C-terminus is fused to a smallBiT tag, and the β2-arrestin N-terminus is fused to a largeBiT tag. Upon receptor activation, GPCR/β-arrestin interaction brings the two fragments together to reconstitute an active NanoLuc enzyme, which can be quantified using the NanoBiT substrate. This cell line is designed to evaluate a compound’s ability to activate the β-arrestin signaling pathway.
