Product Description
The thromboxane A2 receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor primarily mediating the actions of thromboxane A2. It is highly expressed in platelets, vascular smooth muscle, macrophages, and the kidneys. Its core function is to potently induce platelet aggregation and vasoconstriction by activating the Gq protein signaling pathway, playing a crucial role in physiological hemostasis and thrombus formation. Excessive activation of this receptor is closely associated with thromboembolic diseases such as atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and stroke, making it an important target for antiplatelet drugs.
Screeningbio’s HEK293/Human TP cell line overexpress TBXA2R receptor and is designed to detect increases in intracellular IP-1 levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF IP-1 kit can be used to detect the signal.
