Product Description


The CRF2β receptor is a splice variant of the corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor 2 (CRHR2), belonging to the class B G protein-coupled receptor family. It is primarily distributed in cardiomyocytes, skeletal muscle, gastrointestinal smooth muscle, and certain brain regions (e.g., hypothalamus). Upon activation by ligands such as urocortin, it predominantly signals through the Gs protein pathway, mediating appetite suppression, delayed gastric emptying, enhanced myocardial contractility, and cardiovascular protection, playing an important role in stress responses and energy balance regulation.

HEK293/Human CRF2β Agonist Assay. HEK293/Human CRF2β cells were treated with the reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity cAMP HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.
