Product Description


The DP1 receptor (Prostaglandin D2 receptor 1) is a G protein-coupled receptor encoded by the PTGDR gene, belonging to the prostanoid receptor family. It is primarily distributed in mast cells, eosinophils, airway epithelial cells, vascular endothelial cells, and the central nervous system. Its core function involves binding the endogenous ligand prostaglandin D2 and activating the Gs protein to increase intracellular cAMP levels, thereby playing key roles in sleep induction, allergic response regulation, smooth muscle relaxation, vasodilation, and immune modulation. This receptor is an important therapeutic target for asthma, allergic rhinitis, and inflammatory diseases.

 

Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Rat DP1 cell line overexpress Rat PTGDR and is designed to detect increases in intracellular cAMP levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF cAMP kit can be used to detect the signal.

CHO-K1/Rat DP1 Agonist Assay. CHO-K1/Rat DP1 cells were treated with the reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity cAMP HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.
