Product Description


The Cholecystokinin A receptor (CCK1 or CCK-A) is a G protein-coupled receptor primarily responsive to the hormone cholecystokinin. It is predominantly distributed in the gastrointestinal system (e.g., gallbladder, pancreas, sphincter of Oddi, gastric and intestinal smooth muscle) and specific regions of the central nervous system (e.g., nucleus tractus solitarius). Its main function is to mediate the physiological actions of cholecystokinin, including stimulating gallbladder contraction and bile release, promoting pancreatic enzyme secretion, regulating gastric emptying and intestinal motility, and participating in the central regulation of behaviors such as satiety and anxiety. Consequently, CCK1 is a significant therapeutic target for modulating digestive functions and treating related disorders such as functional gastrointestinal disorders and obesity.

 

Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Rat CCK1 cell line overexpress CCK1 receptor and is designed to detect increases in intracellular IP-1 levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF IP-1 kit can be used to detect the signal.

CHO-K1/Rat CCK1 Agonist Assay. CHO-K1/Rat CCK1 cells were treated with the reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity IP-one HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 /IC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.
