Product Description
The P2Y12 receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor primarily activated by ADP, belonging to the Gi-coupled subgroup of the purinergic P2Y receptor family. It is highly expressed on the surface of platelets and serves as the central driver of ADP-induced platelet aggregation, playing a critical role in physiological hemostasis and arterial thrombosis. Additionally, this receptor is distributed on microglial cells in the central nervous system and on vascular smooth muscle cells, where it participates in regulating neuroinflammation and vascular injury responses. P2Y12 is a key target for antiplatelet drugs (such as clopidogrel and ticagrelor), widely used in the prevention and treatment of thrombotic diseases including myocardial infarction and stroke.
Screeningbio’s CHO-K1/Human P2Y12 cell line overexpress P2RY12 and is designed to detect inhibition in intracellular cAMP levels in response to agonist stimulation of the receptor. Cisbio HTRF cAMP kit can be used to detect the signal.

Data
![CHO-K1/Human P2Y12 Agonist Assay. CHO-K1/Human P2Y12 cells were stimulated with 2.5 μM Forskolin and treated with reference agonist. The assay was run based on Revvity cAMP HTRF protocol. Non-linear regression was used to plot activity changes vs. [Compound, M], and EC50 values were determined, using GraphPad Prism software.](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/cbf7de_4674ebe8e39e4c808b62e820f8418196~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_75,h_75,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,blur_2,enc_auto/cbf7de_4674ebe8e39e4c808b62e820f8418196~mv2.png)
